Jakarta, December 20, 2024 – In celebration of Mother’s Day, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) held IHT#13 with the theme “Unlocking HUMI’s Women Potential” on December 20. All female employees of HUMI were empowered to strengthen their roles as individuals, family members, and community contributors by learning how to maintain their own health independently.
“These capabilities include efforts to maintain physical and mental health, prevent illness, and manage psychological challenges without always relying on healthcare professionals,” said Okty Saptarini M., VP of Corporate Secretary at HUMI.
IHT#13 was opened by Mr. Dedi Hudayana, Director of HUMI, who expressed his appreciation for the event. “This is a very meaningful initiative. I hope it serves as a platform for HUMI’s female employees to support and understand each other, creating a comfortable work environment for women at HUMI,” he stated.
The event featured four psychologists as guest speakers, delivering inspiring materials on how to maximize personal potential to achieve life balance and personal development—both at home and in the workplace. HUMI women had the opportunity to share their stories, to feel heard and appreciated, and most importantly, to receive support from fellow colleagues. Participants openly shared experiences, exchanged stories, and created a safe space for mutual support. This activity reflects the company’s support in providing a safe work environment and encouraging women’s multi-roles in the modern era.
Preventive efforts such as maintaining a healthy diet, exercising regularly, getting enough sleep, and avoiding smoking or excessive alcohol consumption are all forms of individual ability in preserving one’s health. Meanwhile, the ability to manage stress, maintain emotional stability, and build healthy social relationships plays a vital role in sustaining mental health. “When individuals are equipped with basic health knowledge, they are more capable of making the right decisions to prevent more serious problems,” added Okty.
Building a self-reliant society in managing health is not only a short-term solution amid limited medical services, but also a long-term investment in creating a strong and resilient nation. “With collective awareness, a spirit of mutual support, and equitable access to information, every individual has an important role in shaping a healthy, safe, and prosperous environment,” Okty continued.
This IHT program is expected to foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment. HUMI recognizes the importance of supporting female employees’ mental health as a crucial investment in the company’s productivity.
