As an integrated shipping company that runs the port and maritime ecosystem business line, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional (HUMI) also provides crew management.
This crew management business segment is run by HUMI through its subsidiary, PT MCS Internasional (MCSI). Currently, MCSI is responsible for managing crews belonging to 13 principals.
“‘Until the end of 2021, MCSI is recorded to have worked with as many as 13 principals who are responsible for managing as many as 141 ships of various types,”‘ said MCSI Director Johan Novitrian.
A liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipping company named MOL LNG Transport (Europe) Ltd as one of the principals also revealed his testimony while being a customer of the crew management services carried out by HUMI.
“‘I am aware that they (MCSI) are not only a very professional manning agency, but also a very family-oriented company,”‘ said MOL LNG Transport (Europe) Ltd Manager Training and Development Chris Bye.
Chris explained further about the manning of the ship owned by MOL LNG Transport (Europe) Ltd, namely Karmol LNGT Powership Asia by MCSI sailors. “’MCSI started assigning crews to Karmol LNGT Powership Asia during the pandemic in Singapore. Despite facing many challenges along the way, with the professionalism and hard work of MCSI sailors, the ship can be sent safely,”‘ he added.
Chris also said that the basis for MOL LNG Transport’s decision to entrust the management of the ship’s crew to MCSI was because of the best service that had been carried out by qualified and competent crew members.
