Reliable and qualified maritime personnel are needed to support the continuity of every operational activity carried out. Therefore, Humpuss Intermoda is also highly committed to efforts to increase human resources (HR) in the maritime sector.
For more than 20 years, Humpuss Intermoda has contributed greatly in providing reliable maritime personnel for the Indonesian maritime industry. The establishment of subsidiaries PT MCS Internasional (MCSI) and PT ETS Internasional (ETSI) is also concrete evidence of Humpuss Intermoda’s efforts to develop human resources in the maritime sector for Indonesia.
MCSI is a subsidiary established by Humpuss Intermoda to manage the provision of maritime human resources for a number of shipping companies, both national and multinational. Until this year, MCSI has managed a total of 11 principals who are responsible for managing 1,569 crew members out of a total of 141 vessels currently actively operating.

The entity under the auspices of Humpuss Intermoda is also the market leader of 158 Manning Agencies registered in Indonesia for both types of commercial vessels and energy transport vessels that have met the certification in accordance with the requirements of the MLC (the maritime labor convention) in 2010.
Meanwhile, efforts to improve national maritime human resources have also contributed greatly from the training and marine center established by Humpuss Intermoda through its subsidiary ETSI, the Humpuss Trilogy Maritime Training Center (HTMTC). The maritime HR education facility was created thanks to the collaboration between Humpuss Intermoda and the Trilogy University educational institution.
Director of ETSI Lisda Y. Satria admitted that more than hundreds of maritime HR talents had been successfully printed by Humpuss Intermoda through the HTMTC marine and training center.
“Hundreds to thousands of talents of maritime human resources of the nation’s children have been successfully born by Humpuss Intermoda through. Increasing human resources in the maritime sector is very much needed so that local workers are able to compete tightly with foreign maritime workers in Indonesia,” said Lisda.
Coinciding with World Seafarers’ Day which falls on June 25, 2022, Humpuss Intermoda is increasingly striving to increase Indonesia’s reliable maritime workforce. The company hopes that Indonesian seafarers can be more competitive in providing the best maritime services for the country.
Meanwhile, in accordance with the theme of this year’s World Seafarers Day which carries the tagline “your voyage – then and now share your journey”, Humpuss Intermoda also invites Indonesian seafarers to share their experiences and journeys of sailing activities to the wider public through social media.
