PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional (HUMI) is one of the subsidiaries owned by a business octopus in the integrated maritime services sector, PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk (HITS). HUMI runs various business segments of the parent company, which is primarily engaged in supporting services for maritime activities.
Before bearing the name HUMI, the company was originally named PT Misi Hutama Internasional. The name change was carried out in line with the diversification steps in the business segments run by the company.
HUMI runs three main business segments, three of which are maritime support which includes tug assists and agency services, dredging services and ship crew management and development services. The row of business lines owned is operated by HUMI through a number of its subsidiaries.

For the dredging business segment, HUMI owns PT LIS Internasional (LISI) which is a subsidiary of HUMI that focuses on this segment. To date, LISI operates three dredgers that are used to support the development of port infrastructure in the country, one of which is Patimban Port which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in 2020.
In the segment of crew management and development, HUMI has subsidiaries named PT MCS Internasional (MCSI) and PT ETS Internasional (ETSI). MCSI focuses on the crew management line of business. Meanwhile, ETSI focuses on the maritime sector’s HR development business line.
Until 2021, MCSI is recorded to manage as many as 141 ships of various types and 1,569 crew members. Meanwhile, ETSI runs the maritime sector HR development segment by establishing a marine training center called HTMTC (Humpuss Trilogy Maritime Training Center).
