Jakarta, October 10, 2025 – Day by day, most employees of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) spend their time in front of computer screens, racing to meet targets and responsibilities. However, behind that work enthusiasm, one small thing often goes unnoticed: the correct sitting position. Recognizing its importance, HUMI held a Health Talk event titled “Ergonomics & The Right Sitting Position While Working” on October 10, 2025. This event collaborated with Good Doctor and featured dr. Anisa Zulfiya Rahmah as the speaker.

HUMI’s VP of Corporate Secretary, Okty Saptarini M, stated that this educational activity is part of the company’s implementation of Sustainable Human Development. “This activity aims to maintain the physical health and increase the long-term productivity of the HUMIers,” she explained.

Given the high intensity of work that involves prolonged sitting, the Health Talk provided an in-depth understanding of the principles of ergonomics, which is the science of adjusting the work environment to its users.

During the session, participants gained practical understanding of ergonomics, ranging from how to sit correctly, the ideal back position, to simple tips for reducing muscle tension caused by sitting for too long. Beyond theory, employees were also invited to try light stretching that can be done during work breaks.

More than just health education, this event served as a moment of reflection that employee well-being is a critical foundation for the company’s sustainability. HUMI places the aspect of health & well-being as an integral part of its human resource development strategy.
