Bandung, November 1, 2025 – The Ganesha Campus area of Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) was filled with the energy and enthusiasm of young job seekers and learners. PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI) made a strong appearance—not only offering career opportunities, but also delivering a powerful message about the future of a sustainable maritime industry.
Carrying the theme “From Sea to Sustainability: Humpuss Maritim Dialogue”, HUMI showcased its commitment through its exhibition booth and special discussion sessions, sharing real stories and concrete initiatives on implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within Indonesia’s backbone industry: maritime. The program was part of the ITB Career Expo held on October 31 to November 1, 2025.
“HUMI is participating at ITB for the first time, and we aim to strengthen our visibility among the younger generation, especially young professional talents. We want to create a space for dialogue and share experience regarding ESG implementation in the company,” said Okty Saptarini, VP of Corporate Secretary at HUMI.
At the ITB Career Expo, HUMI joined the career fair exhibition while also hosting a dialogue session with visitors. This session served as a platform for HUMI to share perspectives and real experiences in applying sustainability principles within the complex maritime sector. Speakers included Okty Saptarini, VP of Corporate Secretary HUMI, and Dika Handika, QHSSE Executive at PT PCS Internasional (PCSI), one of HUMI’s subsidiaries operating in the Oil & Chemical Transportation segment.
During the session, speakers explained how HUMI—which operates across diverse business lines including LNG, oil, and petrochemical transportation, as well as ship management—integrates environmental, social, and governance aspects across all operations.
“The maritime industry is the backbone of the economy, but it also presents significant environmental challenges. For HUMI, ESG is not only about compliance—it is a long-term business strategy to create sustainable value,” said Okty. “We believe that operational sustainability at sea must go hand-in-hand with the sustainability of our planet.”
Meanwhile, Dika Handika highlighted concrete initiatives undertaken by the company. HUMI’s Environmental and Social commitments are reflected in fleet energy efficiency efforts, strict occupational health and safety standards, and sustainable talent development programs.
HUMI’s participation in the ITB Career Expo was not only to share insights, but also to actively attract the interest and aspirations of young talents—considered key to the company’s future success.
Alongside the dialogue session, HUMI hosted an interactive booth throughout the event. The booth became an information hub for students and fresh graduates eager to learn about career opportunities, work culture, and their potential role in supporting HUMI’s vision of becoming a leading maritime company committed to ESG principles.
Through this initiative, HUMI hopes to strengthen its position as an inspiring career destination, especially for ITB talents and other job seekers, while raising awareness about the importance of responsible business practices in the maritime industry.
