JAKARTA – July 11, 2024, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (HUMI) conducted the 6th In-House Training (IHT) with the topic “Legal Insight for Non-Legal Practitioners in Business and Project Finance”, presented by the UMBRA, Strategic Legal Solutions team, in Jakarta. The UMBRA team shared their knowledge and experience on various aspects of business law, including an introduction to contracts and agreements, ensuring business compliance with applicable laws and regulations to avoid sanctions, understanding risks and agreements in project financing, and resolving business disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.

The training, intended for Assistant Manager, Manager, and General Manager—known as “HUMI Super Leaders”—was held in response to the growing need for non-legal leaders in the HUMI Group to understand the legal aspects affecting business, including project financing. “In our company, this legal understanding is crucial, even at the fundamental theoretical level, to help our leaders avoid legal risks and provide recommendations to the board in decision-making,” said Okty Saptarini, Corporate Secretary of HUMI, who is responsible for this activity.

The event was opened by HUMI’s President and Director, Mr. Tirta Hidayat, who appreciated the leaders’ presence and encouraged them to continue learning and developing around legal and project financing topics according to the IHT theme. “I hope all participants can apply this knowledge to their work units,” said Mr. Tirta Hidayat.
