ESG Strategy

The strategic approach to tackling ESG challenges to ensure long-term sustainability.

We have a vision of becoming a leader in sustainable maritime transportation by embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at the core of our operations. The ESG Strategy outlines the company’s strategic approach in addressing environmental, social, and governance challenges to ensure long-term sustainability in line with international standards. HUMI’s ESG Strategy is designed to integrate ESG principles into all aspects of operations and decision-making, while anticipating risks and capturing opportunities. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and sustainable improvement, this strategy aims to strengthen the company’s competitiveness while creating lasting value for all stakeholders.

ESG Risk Assessment

HUMI carries out the identification, analysis, and mitigation of risks related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) aspects of the company. The ESG Risk Assessment serves as an important tool to minimize negative impacts while safeguarding the company’s reputation and long-term performance. In 2024, we identified environmental risks, social risks, and governance risks.

ESG Materiality

ESG Materiality highlights the sustainability topics most relevant and significant to both business continuity and stakeholders, serving as a guide for HUMI in identifying key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. These topics not only reflect stakeholder expectations but also form a strategic focus in creating long-term sustainable value.

ESG Portfolio Management

ESG Portfolio Management illustrates the company’s strategy in managing its portfolio. The pyramid represents the overall ESG portfolio down to specific ESG activities, along with supporting elements that serve as mechanisms to implement, evaluate, and communicate ESG initiatives. This framework establishes a system for sustainable and responsible business practices.

ESG Roadmaps

The ESG Roadmap is the company’s long-term plan to achieve sustainability goals in a structured and progressive manner. HUMI’s 2025–2029 ESG Roadmap is developed as a strategic guide to realize the company’s vision of becoming an ESG leader in the maritime transportation industry. This roadmap serves as a foundation for achieving long-term sustainability objectives that are aligned with global standards and future needs.

Stakeholder Engagement

We foster active collaboration and transparent communication with all stakeholders as an integral part of achieving our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. Through open and participatory dialogue, HUMI consistently listens to the aspirations, expectations, and feedback of various parties—including customers, employees, business partners, regulators, and communities—to ensure that its sustainability strategies remain relevant and impactful. This approach strengthens trust, creates synergy, and drives shared value on the journey toward sustainable growth.

Sustainability Memberships

We undertake environmental initiatives through a series of concrete actions aimed at minimizing operational impacts, protecting marine ecosystems, and supporting maritime environmental sustainability. These efforts include the adoption of eco-friendly fuelsenergy efficiency measures, and responsible waste and emissions management across our fleet and supporting facilities. In addition, HUMI actively engages in marine conservation programs and environmental education with coastal communities as part of a collective effort to safeguard the sustainability of maritime ecosystems for future generations.
