Jakarta, August 17, 2025 – PT Humpuss Maritim Tbk (HUMI) celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence Day with a strong spirit of togetherness under the theme “From HUMI for the Red and White.” Held at Mangkuluhur City on the 26th floor, the event was attended by the Board of Directors and all employees of the HUMI Group.
The celebration began with a solemn Opening Ceremony, marked by the raising of the Red and White flag by Cadets from the Jakarta Shipping Polytechnic (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pelayaran). This was followed by the singing of national anthems including “Indonesia Raya,” “Berkibarlah Benderaku,” and “Hari Merdeka.” This atmosphere, full of patriotic spirit, kicked off the series of celebratory activities.
HUMI’s President Director, Tirta Hidayat, expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of all employees who participated in making the event lively. “I appreciate how lively and exciting this event is. Activities like this are important for building team cohesion, and I hope the spirit of togetherness today can continue to be implemented in our work. I hope this moment of independence reminds us to keep building a sustainable HUMI so that we can continue to contribute to building a progressive Indonesia,” he said.
Meanwhile, HUMI’s VP of Corporate Secretary, Okty Saptarini M, who was in charge of the celebration, added that the Independence Day celebration is not just a ceremony but also part of HUMI’s efforts to instill a sense of nationalism and a healthy culture in the workplace. “We want all HUMI employees to feel a sense of pride as part of the nation’s journey, while also fostering an active, healthy, and caring lifestyle. In this way, the value of togetherness is not only felt today but becomes a sustainable positive energy,” she stated.
After the opening ceremony, the event continued with various competitions for employees, including the Pencil-in-a-Bottle Race, Ping Pong Ball Relay, Glass Blowing, Room Decoration (“My Room, My Indonesia”), Cosplay, Pantun (Rhyme) Creation Video, and Performance Battle. These diverse competitions not only provided entertainment but also strengthened solidarity and camaraderie among HUMI employees.
