Her Love Is Infinite For All Time, Humpuss Maritim (HUMI) Commemorates National Mother’s Day 2022

The phrase ‘mother’s love for beta, is infinite for all time’ in a fragment of a mother’s love song in fact has extraordinary meaning. The role of a mother in a family is very large and cannot be replaced by anyone.

Mothers have great responsibilities, starting from conceiving and giving birth, doing various household chores, to playing an important role in every process of the child’s growth and development so that they become someone who is successful in the future.

“Commemorating National Mother’s Day, HUMI (PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional) also does not forget to welcome an important anniversary which falls on December 22 every year,” said HUMI Main Director Tirta Hidayat quoted on December 21, 2022.

Mother’s Day commemoration on December 22 in Indonesia is basically a momentum to remember the various services, efforts, and hard work that the figure of a mother has done for us in life.

Mother’s Day was celebrated nationally for the first time in Indonesia in 1938. The commemoration of Mother’s Day every December 22 was raised for the first time when the Third Indonesian Women’s Congress was held in the same year.

Meanwhile, officially, the commemoration of Mother’s Day on December 22 in the national holiday calendar has taken effect after Presidential Decree No. 316 of 1959 until now.

In line with the theme of National Mother’s Day 2022 raised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), namely “Empowered and Healthy Women, Indonesia Rises”, HUMI also commemorated it concretely. This can be seen from the various policies currently signed by the company to support women empowerment.

“For example, through the principle of gender equality which is currently the focus of the company by not discriminating between the duties and roles carried out by both male and female workers or sailors, as well as the rights that are also obtained,” added Tirta.

For example, in the position of head of the engine room (KKM) on a liquefied natural gas or LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) ship which is usually filled by men, in HUMI this position is also filled by a woman named Angelina Sabila Janna.

“We provide equal opportunities for men and women to have a career as sailors. Angel is the only sailor with the position of head of the first female engine room on an LNG ship in Indonesia,” said Tirta.
