HUMI Affirms Maritime Safety Commitment at Ocean Centres Indonesia

Jakarta, October 16, 2025 – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (HUMI) affirmed its role in advancing safety standards in the marine industry by taking an active part as a resource person in the Ocean Centres Indonesia Workshop Series #4. The event, initiated by the UN Global Compact Network Indonesia (IGCN) together with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas and the Lloyd’s Register Foundation, carried the theme “Building Safety Capacity in the Marine Industry.” The activity took place on (16/10) at the Auditorium of Trilogi University and was opened by Y.W Junardy (President of IGCN), Tirta Hidayat (President Director of HUMI), and Pramono Hadi (Rector of Trilogi University).

This workshop serves as a strategic platform to strengthen the commitment to safety in the shipping sector, a vital industry that drives more than 80% of global trade. HUMI’s presence at this event demonstrates the company’s dedication to best practices in maritime safety and security.

HUMI presented Capt. Johan Novitrian, Capt. Ricki, and Capt. Wales H. Putra to serve as resource persons, providing deep insights into the implementation of safety in the field. These resource persons from HUMI shared best practices, challenges, and innovative solutions related to vessel operational safety management, risk mitigation, and the development of a strong safety culture in the maritime work environment.

The event, moderated by Supandi from the Indonesian Network of OHS Professional, also featured key speakers from various other institutions, including Kartika Kus Hendrapratna (Head of the Strategic Business Unit of PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia) and Shinta Lystyowati (Assistant Deputy for Special Services Operations of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan).

This collaboration among stakeholders reflects the concerted effort of the private sector, government, and non-profit organizations in creating a safer and more sustainable maritime ecosystem.
