Jakarta, September 4th 2024 – In celebration of its 8th anniversary, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (HUMI) continued its “BERSAMA” (Sharing with Others) initiative from the previous month by inviting children with disabilities from YPLB Nusantara Depok to enjoy educational activities at Kidzania Jakarta (September 4). Accompanied by 20 volunteers from HUMI Group and in collaboration with the Kisah Setara community, the event aimed to share joy with these special children.

“We believe that every child deserves equal opportunities to grow and reach their full potential. Through this program, we hope to create an inclusive and supportive environment for children with disabilities from YPLB Depok,” said Okty Saptarini, VP of Corporate Secretary at HUMI.

During the event, the children with special needs experienced happiness just like other children, by playing and learning new things through the games and activities at Kidzania. The event not only brought joy to the children but also to the HUMI volunteers who participated, as they shared exciting moments with the children from YPLB Depok. “We hope that the active participation of our employees can also foster a sense of care and togetherness,” added Okty.

At Kidzania Jakarta, the children engaged in various educational activities, such as role-playing as doctors, pilots, bakers, chocolate makers, musicians, dancers, and even performing a TV broadcast—activities that brought them immense joy.

“Through this event, HUMI reaffirms its commitment to nurturing empathy and solidarity as part of our corporate social responsibility. We believe that togetherness and care are key foundations for the sustainability of our company,” Okty added. This event was not just about sharing joy, but also about supporting those in need and inspiring individuals to care for and appreciate differences. HUMI will continue to pursue positive initiatives that make a real impact on the community.
