JAKARTA – On a sunny Saturday morning, November 25, 2023, happiness lit up the faces of the children of Tunas Bangsa Children’s Social Care Center when the employees of PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (IDX: HUMI) revisited and held a special event full of fun. This time HUMI presented a touch of magic by combining the art of storytelling and magic. This initiative not only brought joy to the children but also to the employees who joined the event.
Okty Saptarini M., Corporate Secretary of HUMI, said that this was the second time HUMI visited. But this time there was a difference from the first visit. In addition to entertaining the children, HUMI employees were also entertained by dance performances from the children of the orphanage which were very amusing.
“‘On this occasion, we provided different entertainment by performing a storytelling show with the theme of the ocean, followed by a Magic Science show which was carried out interactively, involving the participation of children,”‘ said Okty.
After listening to inspiring stories, the children were presented with a magic session that brought magic right before their eyes. A professional magician from HUMI performed mesmerizingly with unexpected magic tricks. With quick and observant moves, the magician turned the atmosphere full of laughter and amazement.
The children couldn’t stop cheering every time something that seemed impossible became possible. The magic session not only provided entertainment but also involved active participation from the children, building their confidence and providing an unforgettable experience.
Okty added that in addition to entertainment, HUMI also made donations to the orphanage in the form of basic needs for toddlers such as nutritional milk and baby diapers. With the increasing number of toddlers entering the nursing home in a malnourished state, the prioritized needs must be considered by every visitor who comes.
HUMI is not just a business entity, but also a partner that cares about the welfare of the community, especially children who need love and support. HUMI believes that every child has the right to love, protection, and proper education.
This activity also teaches that social care can be implemented in various ways, even through simple activities. Thus, we can all together create positive changes in the lives of those in need.
