Humpuss Maritim Reaffirms Business Integrity Practices through INSTAR 2025

Jakarta, December 16, 2025 – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (HUMI), a company focused in the sea transportation and energy sectors, has achieved a strategic milestone in the field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). In the 2025 Sustainable Business Integrity Index (INSTAR) event, HUMI successfully earned the Verified Badge predicate after recording a business integrity score of 81.22, an achievement that reflects a positive sustainability performance through commitment to business ethics, labor protection and the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), as well as well-monitored waste and emission management.

The award was presented at the INSTAR 2025 ceremony held on December 12, 2025, at Ballroom 1, Hotel Mulia, Jakarta. The Verified Badge predicate is given to companies judged to have not only met business integrity standards but also demonstrated concrete evidence of effective implementation of policies, systems, and governance practices across all operational lines of the company.

HUMI’s President Director, Tirta Hidayat, expressed his appreciation for the achievement. “The INSTAR 2025 award proves that our efforts in building corporate governance that is integrated and sustainable are on the right track. Achieving this Verified Badge predicate is not only external recognition but also a motivation for all HUMIers to continuously improve operational standards, compliance, and transparency to maintain the company’s business sustainability going forward,” said Tirta.

In the INSTAR 2025 assessment, HUMI achieved a score of 81.22 out of the total assessment, which covered four main dimensions: Business Integrity, Environment, Social and Human Rights, and Corporate Resilience. The Verified Badge predicate is exclusively given to companies that have not exceeded the minimum standard of Sustainable Business Integrity index, but also successfully demonstrated evidence of seriousness and effective governance implementation, with the main requirement being a score above 80 across all tested criteria.

INSTAR is the result of a comprehensive assessment conducted by TEMPO Data Science, Transparency International, and the Institute for Strategic Initiatives (ISI). The INSTAR research methodology is transparent and objective. The assessment is based on public company documents, including Annual Reports, Sustainability Reports, and various internal guidelines published on the Company’s official website. The process involved verification of 479 companies, with a rebuttal data mechanism that allows companies to provide clarification and additional evidence to ensure the accuracy and fairness of the assessment.

Explaining the process behind the achievement, HUMI’s VP of Corporate Secretary, Okty Saptarini M, revealed that the verification stage required data readiness, thoroughness, and intensive cross-functional coordination. “The rebuttal data process in the INSTAR assessment was not simple. The team had to comprehensively prepare various evidence documents, while also making adjustments in several aspects to align with the strict criteria set. This process demanded a solid commitment and collaboration from various departments, including Legal, Sustainability, Corporate Communication, and other relevant work units. Alhamdulillah, all those efforts were rewarded with a prideful result,” explained Okty.

The achievement of the INSTAR 2025 Verified Badge predicate marks a proud close to the year for HUMI. Moving forward, this award is expected to further strengthen the trust of investors, stakeholders, and the wider public in HUMI, while also affirming the company’s role in supporting the creation of a national business ecosystem that is transparent, accountable, and sustainable.
