The Story Behind
the Founding of Our Company

Our story is about the courage to dream, perseverance in the face of challenges, and commitment to continue to grow to support the progress of the Indonesian and global maritime industry.

  • 1986

    PT Humpuss established liquefied natural gas transportation division and built one LNG ship, the Ekaputra.

  • 1992

    The shipping division of PT Humpuss became a company under the name of PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi.

  • 1997

    PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi became a public company conducted an initial public offering and it was the first shipping company listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange with code HITS.

  • 2016

    The Company was established under the name PT Misi Hutama Internasional and is subsidary of PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk. The Company initially operated in maritime services sector, whose business activities included tug assist services at ports, dry bulk transportation services, dredging and reclamation services, provider of crews outsourcing and provider of education and training for crews.

  • 2021

    One of subsidiaries, PT GTS Internasional Tbk. conducted an initial public offering of shares and listed its shares on September 8, 2021 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange with code GTSI.

  • 2022

    The Company changed its name, from PT Misi Hutama Internasional to PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional (HUMI). HUMI merged with other HITS subsidiaries, hence existing resources and equipment are combined in one entity to be utilized optimally.

  • 2023

    HUMI listed its shares on the stock exchange with code “HUMI” on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on August 9, 2023, offers 2.7 billion shares. HUMI obtained ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2015 on Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certificates

  • 2024

    On November 25, 2024, HUMI prepared the HUMI ESG Roadmap which includes, among other things, the Company’s long-term strategic plan aligned with the IMO Secretariat’s SDGs strategy, which is in line with increasing awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UN).
