JAKARTA – PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (“the Company”), known by the stock code HUMI, has successfully recorded a consolidated net profit of USD 12.69 million for the fiscal year 2023, as cited from the Company’s Audited Annual Financial Report. The Company’s net profit experienced an increase of 15.94% compared to the achievement in 2022, which amounted to USD 10.94 million.

In terms of revenue, the Company managed to achieve USD 106.38 million throughout the year 2023, experiencing a 16.22% increase compared to the 2022 achievement of USD 91.53 million. Furthermore, the Company also recorded a gross profit of USD 29.15 million, marking a 9.53% increase compared to the previous year’s achievement of USD 26.61 million.

Tirta Hidayat, the President Director of the Company, stated that this positive achievement was driven by revenue from the chemical transportation sector of the Company, which experienced a remarkable increase of 305.29% compared to the previous year. “‘The significant growth in demand for vessels for transporting chemicals such as sulfuric acid and methanol successfully propelled the Company’s revenue in this sector during 2023,”‘ said Tirta.

Furthermore, the growth in revenue from the Marine Support sector by 70.41% compared to 2022 also served as another positive catalyst for the Company during 2023. “‘The increasing activity at the ports recently has driven the growth in demand for tugboats,”‘ said Tirta.

Tirta also stated that the trend for the demand for chemical tankers and offshore support vessels is expected to continue increasing in the future. This is due to the rising demand for methanol chemicals, which serve as a fundamental component of biodiesel, as the government aims to increase the percentage of biodiesel blend for transportation fuel from 30% to 35%.

Tirta added, “‘Considering the rising demand for vessels in maritime transportation recently, for the year 2024, we are targeting a 20% growth in the Company’s revenue. This target will be driven by our business line in the chemical sector,”‘ Tirta concluded at the end of his press statement.
