JAKARTA – July 23, 2024, in honor of National Children’s Day 2024, PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk. (HUMI) jointly with the Kisah Setara community launched a concrete initiative to support children with disabilities at YPLB Nusantara, Depok City, through the “BERSAMA” (Sharing for All) program.

“BERSAMA is a monthly social program conducted by HUMI’s volunteer employees. According to HUMI Corporate Secretary Okty Saptarini M., “Our volunteers aim to provide entertainment and social activities for children with disabilities this month, coinciding with National Children’s Day.”

“Every child should have equal opportunities to develop and realize their full potential, in our opinion. Our goal is to establish a welcoming and encouraging environment for kids with disabilities through this program.”

This month’s BERSAMA theme, “HUMI in Action for Children with Disabilities,” aspires for special-needs children to experience joy like other children, continue to grow, learn, and understand new things that can be beneficial in the future. This activity also brings blessings and happiness to the disabled children and participating HUMI volunteers, strengthening the good relationship between the company and the community.

The management encourages every employee to join as a HUMI volunteer, actively participating in all of HUMI Group’s social activities. In this event, HUMI volunteers were actively involved in distributing basic necessities, donating to the foundation, holding sharing sessions, and witnessing the artistic talents of the children, such as traditional dancing and playing musical instruments, showcasing many talents that can be further developed. “Active participation from employees is expected to foster a sense of care and togetherness,” added Okty.
